Ship Harbour Boat Tours and Charter Services Limited is a new family orientated company, incorporated on December 10, 2002.  Our business is mainly focused in three areas: tourism, education and industry.

We are pleased to service the communities of St. Peters and Port Hawkesbury and their surrounding areas. This now gives us the opportunity to add the
majestic Bras D'or Lakes as well as the great Atlantic Ocean to our sailing schedule.

We are proud to name our vessel after "Canada's great marine artist," and Port Hawkesbury resident, Mr. Joseph Franklin Wright.

Mr. J. Franklin Wright was born in Nova Scotia on February 18, 1924. He is internationally recognized for his detail paintings from the "great age of sail", and for his portrayal of Canadian warships from the modern period. He is generally regarded as Canada's foremost marine artist and has been affectionately called a "master of sea and sky".

The M/V J. Franklin Wright

Is a traditional Cape Island Style vessel that is known for its seaworthiness and dependability. As an Atkinson Cape Island 43 trawler, this workhorse of the Nova Scotia fishing fleet is redesigned with the comfort and elegance of a fine cruising yacht.

The J. Franklin Wright is equipped with a hydrophone (so you may hear the whales) and the latest in electronic navigation equipment. She can accommodate up to 50 people. The cabin is heated. There is seating inside and outside. A canopy over the open cockpit will protect you from the hot sun or the salty Atlantic spray. She has two washrooms; a full galley and catering can be provided.

We are fully licensed to sell alcohol on board the vessel and also have a lobster fishing License (Catch & Release) so you can experience a day in the life of a Nova Scotia Lobster Fisherperson.

For your comfort and safety this vessel has been inspected and certified to the ridged (TP11717E) regulations of Transport Canada for small passenger vessels.
